Kelly won two tournaments during the regular season: the St. Christopher's Invitational and the Virginia Prep League, while placing in four other tournaments. He will carry an 82-59 record into his junior year. Kelly became a more complete wrestler as a sophomore, developing a ferocious style of attacking on his feet. He will look to continue his success in the 2012-13 season. 2010-11 Season: Kelly enjoyed an excellent freshman season for St. Christopher's, putting together a 31-25 record at 103 lbs. MacLeod served as a utility man for the Saints during his sophomore year, wrestling 113 and 120 lbs, or wherever he was needed. He competed well, but gave up a lot of size to wrestlers at the end of the season, but showed extreme progress throughout. A never say die spirit helped him claw through the season. 2010-11 Season: MacLeod finished his freshman season at St. Christopher's with a bang- posting a 3-2 record at the VISAA State Tournament, which helped spark the Saints to their 10th consecutive VISAA State team title. The freshman ended the season with an 8-30 record, but that does not begin to describe the amount of progress he made throughout the season. MacLeod worked hard every day in practice and got better each time he took the mat. He has one of the best attitudes out of all the wrestlers on the team.
The 2012 VISAA State championship was John Fergusson's explosion onto the private school wrestling scene. His three pins in the tournament helped solidify St. Christopher's 11th consecutive team title.
